Beware the new age/mysticical/hippi pseudo psychiatrist !Whenever I had a session with her, she hardly said anything just sat there quietly staring at me. When she did say something, she did not analyze what i was saying from a medical point of view, she just repeated what i said to 'affirm' and 'validate' me. She's more of a guru than a doctor. She preaches all this BS about your 'true self' and repeats all these other positive psychology mantras. She does not help with problems. She only cares about money, she was really bitter about the fact that I tried to negotiate a smaller fee because she overcharges and doesn't take insurance. Does not have a lot of experience with todays culture. I told her about my friend who was pansexual and she says 'is that what the kids are doing these days?' no... its her identity. Also, i had eating issues and she just kept repeating 'eat when your hungry, stop when your full' as if that is a proper way to approach an eating disorder.
