My dealings at Krogers has always been exceptional. Between the selection the price and the convenience of the store. The Kroger Plus Card plus the Kroger credit card saves us a bunch of money.

Seafood/meat section is small, but good variety. It's my reason for visiting Kroger supermarkets, usually. On my last visit, I went to fill a prescription.  I had a goodrx coupon with Kroger's name on it with the name of the medication. They wouldn't take it. Decided to do some shopping then. At checkout, I felt like I was getting dirty looks from the cashier. It was a bit uncomfortable.  Then, I walked out with one of the child size carts that my 3 year old had pushed around the store, and I was quickly berated by the guy fetching the shopping carts. I hadn't seen a sign about not taking them outside. If I had, I definitely wouldn't have, but the man was overly mean about it.

Visited the big Kroger in Johnson City near East Tennessee State University . It was a super nice store. Clean. Very friendly workers. Lots to offer. Shelves well stocked. Nice pharmacy and bakery. Super large deli. Really enjoyed shopping there. Only complaint, get more handicap carts!

Good store for many things but beware of outdated food. I've seen outdated food in there several times and they never seem to rotate their stock very well. I saw some small bags of nuts near the frozen organic section today that were outdated 6 months ago (June, 2017) while their workers are always walking around joking, they don't have time to rotate outdated stock. Buyer beware. The mgr doesn't seem to care much about it. IMHO it's a poorly managed store.

While store layout is a little different.... Caused by a pharmacy mid-store, this smaller Kroger is very conveniently located and well stocked.  Store personnel are extremely helpful in locating products.  Wait times at registers is usually short.  A gas station is located across the parking lot and is tied into Kroger's loyalty program offering discount gas.
