I didn’t know this place earlier. We were trying to go Stonemill Matcha next door but they are closed today. Surprisingly the food it’s really good here. We had three appetizers skewer shrimp satay, spring roll, papaya salad. All tasted yummy with quality preparation. Our waiter is really friendly as well with good service. They actually have both Thai food menu and American brunch menu to choose from. The only improvement I will suggest is the interior design and paint color. However, the overall quality food is above average to the other Thai restaurants that I been to.
Don't bother with the Pad Thai here. Too sour, too bad. It used the thin type of noodles which easily stuck together, resulting in a big sticky noodle mess. Expensive too for $14. Also where were the spring onions? There was nothing appealing about this dish. Cream cheese taffies tasted like they were just re-fried. Thai iced tea too sweet. Krua zesty beef had an odd undercooked texture. I'm giving this 2 stars for the polite staff. Please do better : PS their sticky rice wasn't sticky at all. The only nice thing about their mango sticky rice was the mangoes
Came here on a Thursday evening and their reservation system was really simple! Not a lot of people there either. Good: - Decently fast service and really nice clean interior - Loved the pad c u here with chicken, it was so tasty and the noodles were chewy - The papaya salad was a great texture as well and really good as an appetizer - I was a fan of the Khao soi, it was a huge portion size and the soup was so good Bad: - A little overpriced for Thai food, felt like it was $5 more than other places Overall really liked this place! It was close to the Barry’s we went to ahead of class.
Decent Thai food with friendly service. The dishes taste like home cooking. The Thai iced tea was good but halfway through the drink I found a fly in between the ice cubes probably just unlucky though.Food: 4/5
Solid Thai dishes with toned down spiciness. If you like Thai cuisine but can’t deal with spicy food, this is great place to explore. Totally underrated so no waitlist or lines. The food is fresh and staff is great.
The flavors are so strong and hit the spot! This is a solid Thai place to come back to though the portions are a little small for the price. It's worth it for the flavors. Here are the dishes I ordered: --Pad See U: The noodles are perfectly flavored but too salty --Pad Kee Mao: Wonderfully strong basil taste! Although it looks quite similar to Pad See U, it is drastically different in taste. Some people may find this dish too spicy but I was not bothered by it. --Yellow Curry: PERFECT. It's so good with lots of vegetables. It's a bit sweeter than other yellow curries I've had but this is literally so good. A bit disappointed it doesn't come with rice though. It's +$1 for rice. --Thai Iced Tea: Loved the flavor but too sweet.
I'm trying to give as fair a review as possible. Yes, the food was good and the price was fair. However, my two friends and I had the positively worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. There was almost no wait to get a table, but we decided to sit at the bar so that we might get served faster. I had to ask three times if they would serve us food at the bar and every time the bartender just said let me go ask and didn't respond when he came back. Whatever, turns out they would. We got menus and decided to order take-out since it was so loud and bustling in there and we thought that would allow us to eat even faster. We ordered our food and waited for about 45 minutes before we asked how much longer it would be. By then one of my friends had run out to go get alcohol out of boredom. The bartender said, as if we were idiots for asking, "you've only been waiting 45 minutes! Some people have been waiting over an hour and a half." Well sure enough we wound up having to wait another 45 minutes before our food was ready and by then we also ran across the street to get chips from the gas station so we didn't pass out from starvation. The only reason we didn't just abandon our order was because they were one of the only restaurants open. It would have been nice had they told us the wait would be so long. Two of the stars are for quality of food and a fair price. The overall experience, atmosphere, and service should be three missing stars BUT I'm giving them a break on a busy day because it was Christmas and because I'd try it again on a less busy day. Thus, three stars.
7/14/21. I've ordered from here several times. 99% of the time the food is perfect. I love the fried vegetable rolls, the avacado rolls, & the fried . Today though, the fried rice & tofu in it were burned. I called Caviar & received a refund for the fried portion. I tried to call the restaurant numerous times today but always got a busy line. I asked caviar to tell the manager their cook burned my fried today. It never happened before this order.
Solid experience! Warm and attentive service paired with fresh and delicious Thai favorites. Also nice as it’s close to BART.
Not delicious. Overpriced and not authentic. The Tom Yum is chicken broth with raw veggies. They didn't have the spicy garlic chili oil. And my green curry didn't even come with rice. While the food was edible, it tasted on par with Leanne chin, Panda Express or pick up stix. The green curry was halfway decent.
