I am 36 years old. I have been going to Dr. Mehta for over 2 years. He is amazing to say the least. Every medical problem I have had was resolved quickly by him. He cares and takes the time to tell me so that I understand. Bottom line is this: he does what a doctor should do, treat and care for his patients. I just hope I never lose him in the future.

I signed up with Dr. Mehta after reading positive reviews about his office efficiency. Sad to say, those reviews were bogus. After my first visit, the doctor said he would arrange for a referral for physical therapy, which I greatly need as I am in a lot of pain. After two weeks, I called the doctor's office to find out whether they had heard about the approval because I had not. I was told that I could not get that information because I called in the afternoon and approvals were only researched in the mornings (?) So I promptly called the next morning and was told, after giving my basic info and waiting on hold, that the receptionist would call me back when she located the information. I asked that she leave a message if I wasn't home. She promised she would. No message that day. So I promptly called again the next day, explaining what had happened previously. I was told by Jessica that since my referral had been faxed to my insurance/medical group, (their computer system was not working -- in fact it had been "down" for a week and a half), they had no way to trace the referral. I would have to call my insurance/medical group, and when I did, I learned that no referral request had been received. I called Jessica again; she called the insurance/medical group and verified they had not received the referrals (she said she faxed the form twice). She explained that she re-sent the referral request and I would be receiving the referral in about a week. When asked how the mistake happened and I had been waiting over 2 weeks, thinking the referral was in process, Jessica said the two (why 2?) faxes were both received by the insurance/medical group. So I asked to receive a copy of that fax printout; I was told they had no copies, they just looked at the notice on the machine. So who do I believe? Jessica in Dr. Mehta's office? The medical group? Either way, I have waited in pain for over two weeks' with absolutely nothing being done on my behalf. I do not call that an efficient office operation. Find another doctor.
