I would agree that customer service is great if and only if you have a simple need. However, the more complex your need becomes the customer service begins to change. For example, I reported my credit card stolen on 5/20 and did not receive my new one until over a month later. I STILL would not have my new card had I not called numerous times. Mishaps occur. I get it. What did not sit well with me is that no one wanted to take responsibility for the fact that what should have taken 7-10 business days took over a month. Employees drag their feet and no one can give you a direct answer. There are always 15 hoops you need to jump through to have a situation handled. Please don't let the staffs' perky, shallow voices fool you. Their communication skills are incredibly poor!! I've been a member of the credit union since 2014 and my phone number and email address have been the same since I joined. I let them know I would be moving out of state. They tried sending mail to my old address. Instead of someone calling or emailing me to find out why mail was being returned, they deducted around $15 to $20 from my savings account to cover the returned mail fees. This money was later refunded again, AFTER I called and inquired. Right now I am still waiting to hear back from the manager about a question I had concerning my loan. If I do not call her, I will not hear back from her. Explore other credit unions before you settle for this one. I wish I would have, and I am looking forward to the day when I no longer have any business with them.

My first experience applying for a loan and I was really nervous. But Annita made my experience pain free and very simple. I'm excited to continue business with her and the K-State Federal Credit Union.

Don't Listen to Christy Gerdes. She is being purposefully misleading. Perhaps due to one bad experience, or perhaps due to her own bad behavior, I don't know, but I have been a member of this bank for 12 years now, and I have NEVER had a bad interaction there. There was one time I was denied a loan, but that was because I was very young and never kept much in my accounts. I can't even believe someone would ever dream of giving this place a bad review. One of the worst things about this bank is that I won't be able to take it with me when I move from this state. Fantastically polite tellers, no outrageous surprise fees (so many banks screw you this way). This is the best bank in Manhattan, KS, Hands down.
