I love this restaurant. I did hibachi last time and the regular restaurant this time. Both were delicious and a great experience. I usually do mixed drinks but being pregnant, I tried the virgin strawberry daiquiri - I've never had such an amazing daiquiri! It was so delicious. We started with the rock shrimp it was good- some had the tails still so watch out. And then I had spicy tuna rolls with a side of rice. Everything was very good and very reasonably priced. The waiter was also the bartender but he multitasked very well. Great experience! Parking: Large parking lot
Ok, I'm going to be as fair as I possibly can. First please note the 1hr wait that most speak about is true. We sat at a mixed table of 9ppl arrived for a reservation at 7:30. The chef arrived at the table 8:47pm. For Hibachi he was nice however the tricks well missed the mark. The server showed up twice to drop the salad and than the check. Be weary of the floors they are very slippery. Automatic tip added to the bill which may be why they simply don't care. If you have allot of time to spare try it otherwise there are excellent Hibachi restaurants in the area! Skip this one
Love going to Kumo 27 on weekend evenings when they have live music and Karaoke. The atmosphere is very inviting and everyone is welcoming to all who show up. The sushi is delicious and the menu is diverse with other items such as Pad Thai and Udon. Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarians on the menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for those in wheelchairs.
Great food! I even arrived an hour or so before closing. Service was amazing, bar service was amazing and the fresh sushi was well... not amazing but way more than that!
I recently ordered take out and when the lady handed it to me she said “hold it from the bottom.” I grabbed the bag from the handle and about to secure the bottom of the bag when the flimsy bag broke. The food was all over the floor. I asked the lady to get someone to help clean it up. The man came out yelling at me shaking his head saying over and over “She told you to hold it from the bottom!” First of all the bag they used is super thin for two hibachi dinners, sushi, salad and a soup! And second of all, he was so unprofessional scolding me like I was some kid who did something so wrong. It really wasn’t that serious for the man to be so angry. I told him it wasn’t necessary to raise his voice, he can keep the food and I will NEVER coming back there again. What happened to treating customers with respect? In this trying time we live in, what happened to kindness. This is what I get for trying to support small businesses and in fact have been supporting this place since it was ShoGun 27. I wish them luck and hope they improve their customer service for the future.
Good food served by good people Just tried sushi bar. Sushi items were very good. Next time hibachi menu review
This was our first time here. We had a reservation and yet they made us wait. First to be seated, and then to be served as well. There was only one Hibachi chef, our table was apparently third in the list, so the chef had to complete the first two to come to ours! If they had such a tight or delayed schedule, they should have let us know while we made the reservations and not when they seat us at the table, asking us to order appetizers as the chef would be delayed. So, they made us wait for more than an hour seated at our table. Food was definitely not the best hibachi I have had, may be the delay also killed our hunger, not sure. but it certainly lacked a bit of flavor. However, Sushi was delicious, they have decent vegetarian choices as well. The ambience was good. For the lack of rush, they should have better management skills. Wait kills the joy if it is stretched out, which should be compensated with flavorful and high energy hibachi experience. Lacking both did not help us. Hence three rating.
This is the place to be!!! Family friendly, awesome hibachi chefs and the food is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend eating at kumo 27. They also have some realllly cool fish that look like eels in the tank when you walk in. My son was quite fascinated. :
Had the pleasure of celebrating my nephew's birthday the other night with a scrumptious hibachi dinner! It was the best!! The food was super fresh & flavorful, complete with entertainment provided by Leo; our hibachi chef! I really can't say enough about this place-- aside from the food & hibachi experience being stellar, the atmosphere was so pleasant. The soft dinner music, lovely decor & very clean environment-even down to the restrooms, made this such a great & memorable evening! Can't wait to go back!
It was good night out. Staff was attentive, but not intrusive, and had great food allergy awareness. Entrees were prepared accurately and with the flourish that befits a night of hibachi. It was a little loud at times e.g., turn down the birthday music, but otherwise an enjoyable evening.Food: 5/5
