Delicious. I took one bite and had to personally compliment and tip the chefs. The ramen is PERFECT, nice and toothsome. The broth was delicious and not salty at all. The shaved seaweed was a great flavor and the eggs were jammy as they should be. The one thing I'd say they need to work on is the pork, as it was a bit overcooked and stringy, but even then it had great flavor. And the price is very reasonable. If you're looking for great ramen look no further than Kurobuta.
Such a cute restaurant! We had spicy tonkotsu ramen and it was excellent! The noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth was spicy and flavorful. The pork they add was too big as my son literally almost choked on it. My heimlich was ready to go! lol… It should be cut up to bite sized pieces since there’s no way to cut it unless you use your hands. We ordered the crab cream croquettes and takoyaki for the appetizer and these were tasty. I really liked the shredded cabbage and the white mayo dressing/sauce. Great idea with the water jugs they set out when you first sit down. If you’re hungry it comes out FAST!
Had lunch here, it's a simplistic menu with something for everyone. Tip: Utensils & napkins are on a pull-out side drawer of your table, we didn't know until we asked. It's convenient though to have access to what you need versus waiting on someone to bring it. Edamame - a bit salty, they give you plenty! Salmon Steak Don - good portion size of salmon. Tonkotsu Ramen - egg was perfect, pork was good, & the noodles had that "snap" that we all like. The broth was good. The staff was nice & patient, often checking in with us, we spent quite some time there. The food wasn't cold, but it wasn't particularly hot. I was hoping the ramen would be a little warmer but it was so-so, they were semi-busy so I'm not sure if food getting to us played a factor but we felt it came out quickly. Each table has their own pitcher of water which also works out well, they were quick to bring more when ours was empty. Tables are a bit close together the seating against the wall where we were, you can hear the other tables conversion at just a casual level. It could be disruptive. The floor was a little sticky, I noticed this passing though to go to the restroom. Restroom was okay. Small restaurant, however it's not a stand alone & in a strip with others, understandable. Prices are good & affordable!
Definitely a safe place to try if you need somewhere to eat. Got the regular and spicy tonkatsu ramens. Pretty Normal and nothing crazy. The chashu tastes burnt which wasn't very pleasant, but the crab croquettes were very tasty which made my meal pleasant again Ordered a katsu don and eel don to-go and they were also pretty normal. A bit heavy on the onions
I came here for lunch because I was in the area. Kurobuta has been on my list for some time now. I understand why this place has received so many positive reviews, but I was not impressed with it. I ordered the chicken katsu. It took roughly 15 minutes for the food to come out, which wasn't too long of a wait. It came with a white dipping sauce, a cabbage salad with a mayo-based dressing, and a small bowl of rice. Chicken katsu is made of white meat. Despite being fried, the inside was still moist and juicy. The lack of seasoning and the unsatisfactory dipping sauce made it unpalatable. I prefer the traditional katsu sauce. The salad's dressing was also excessively sweet. The rice was cooked perfectly. The restaurant is small and intimate. I love how they have all the utensils and napkins in the drawers at the table. Super convenient. Service was great. The server explained everything thoroughly. Overall verdict, it was a decent meal, but I probably won't be coming back. Good: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5
I don’t live near here but never regret the trip for Nagasaki seafood ramen and cheese katsu. Eat here at least 4x a year just for those dishes. If I’m daring, I’ll do the super spicy seafood ramen. The takoyaki is on point and all the food always comes out steaming hot! Love it!Food: 5/5
Awesome foods: the donkatsu and tonkotsu ramen were very good. This place was quite crowded at Friday dinner time, but there was no wait. I will be back to try other items on the menus.Food: 5/5
What a rough start to my morning, I ordered the chicken katsu with curry and rice for take out, total came out to around $18 including tip, for that price I basically got a small chicken tender and about half a cup of rice with curry on the side to fill in the space missing in the to-go container, what a rip off for almost 20 bucks. I would've gone to the spot inside H-mart where I would've gotten way more for less if not the same amount of money even for a to-go order but to my unfortunate luck she shut down recently.
Everything was hot and fresh! We got the Chicken Katsu with this creamy citrus sauce, Spicy Tonkatsu, and LA Galbi. Server was quick and efficient. Food came out pretty quickly as well. The bathroom was tucked away and felt a little sus but it was clean enough lol.Food: 5/5
First time going here and I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience. Staff were friendly, service was fast without compromising taste/quality of food that comes out of the kitchen. The place is huge with plenty of seating. I usually order spicy tonkotsu ramen when I go to new places and that’s what I ordered here. Their version did not disappoint at all. It was a good amount of meat and spice to my liking. The soup was so delicious and noodles were just right. 5/5 for sure! Also got the chicken katsu + udon combo. The chicken katsu was super delicious specially combined with their sauce. I’d also give that a 5/5. The udon, however, was a 3/5 to me. Not as flavorful as I would want it but I think that’s because it was just a side dish maybe for the chicken katsu? I also normally order takoyaki whenever I’m in a new restaurant that offers it and I’d give it a 4/5. Overall, I loved my experience here though and would definitely come back when I can.
