I went in to pay for gas around 4pm. As soon as I walked up to the counter, a black male [I didn't catch his name] called me "Ma'am." I expressed my hurt feelings as my gender identity is male and I clearly looked like one. I happen to have a problem being short and scrawny, so I guess I can see how one might think I was a young tomboy girl, but the only part that really hurt is that the employee did NOT apologize for the confusion. Neither did he tell me to have a nice day. I would very much like it if the manager or someone could speak with him on this matter, because once I got home I cried. It was hard to hold in the tears.
