I paid $50 delivery for this “hibachi.” This was the so-called fried rice. It he vegetables were almost raw. None of this appeared to have been cooked on a grill. Avoid this place.Food: 1/5
Hidden price warning! I won’t go there again! Now they charge 18% service fee. Although I just had quick lunch by myself and the waitress just placed food on my table without asking me once if there is anything I need, I was still billed this 18% service charge which typically you’ll only to see for a big party or at the tourist packed places…. 2 prices on drinks are increased too. Their drink menu doesn’t have prices so they can charge whatever the amount they like
Just ordered take out and got all the way home 30mins away just for my order to not be right i order steak and double noodles and got this and they told me the only thing they can do is have me bring the food back in and remake it the guy is trying to tell me that its not wrong because he packaged it as if i was lying they just lost a customer
My daughter and I ate here several times. We enjoy having our food cooked in front of us. The food is always delicious! Sometimes it could use a little more seasoning or sauce, but most times, it’s just right! We always get seated within 10 min, even when it’s crowded. So there’s never really a long wait, which I love. All in all, I recommend this restaurant if you love Japanese food, entertainment and hibachi style restaurants. Parking: There’s a big parking lot, with free parking that wraps around the building. You shouldn’t have a problem finding a park. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome! There’s always a lot of kids here. It’s a kid friendly environment.
The sushi rolls were pretty good. Not highly impressive for the money. The hibachi food was good. However wasn't excited seeing the cook wearing a mask cooking us food because he was sick. The lighting was a bit dim and we were hot and cold a lot. Overall it was ok.Food: 4/5
I've been here before and it wasn't so bad. This time, however, was a different story. NOT pleased at all. Part of the Hibachi experience is the show-why does a party of 2 not get the same as a party of 6 or 8? Bored, no saki very disappointing, and hardly a show was put on. The sauces were watered down to the point you couldn't taste them because it didn't stick to the meat, and the chicken and lobster were both overcooked. I never tend to give such a harsh review, but I won't lie about it either. The full tables got great service...we didn't seat ourselves, and paid an awful price for it. I won't be back
The food was good. That was about it. We called for a reservation but was told it was just a call ahead so we had to wait about 20 or so minutes for our table. Our chef didn't seem to care and didn't put on a performance like the other ones we saw. He cooked and left while others interacted with the people and shot Saki and lemonade at people. Gratuity was included and they charged us $45 for the chef because there was 8 of us. Never mentioned. We felt rushed out. As soon as the chef left, the take out boxes arrived. The waitress even messed up and put in an extra order of shrimp that no one ordered. Won't be returning.
It has been about 4 years since we have been to Kyoto pre-pandemic and went recently to change up our dining out routine. We are thrilled we went back to this gem of a restaurant. We both had hibachi meals that include mushroom broth soup and salads, a shrimp appetizer, as well as sauteed veggies and choices of protein; I believe fried rice was a slight upcharge but totally worth it. The chef was pleasant and attentive, often launching a piece of zucchini for diners at our table to catch with their mouths; he did the same with a bit of sake we were all adults. The waiter was also very friendly and welcoming. We couldn't stop talking about how happy we were with our meals! We will definitely be back soon!!!
This was a fun experience, I have never been to a Hibachi before. Our waitress was absolutely delightful, and the chef very entertaining and engaging. They were accommodating of some special needs requests in our party. My only complaint was that the chicken was so overcooked, it was the texture and consistency of rubber. Despite that, I would return and try a different menu item less prone to overcooking.
Place was alright. Lots of 2 and 4 year olds running around without supervision but I don’t know if it’s everyday. The food is really good, authentic, HOWEVER- it is very salty so please know that going in. The staff are nice and ask if you have any food allergies or things they need to be aware of. Pretty $$$ but you get what you pay for. Also there is an automatic 18% Service fee on the bill so if you don’t like the tip included then I wouldn’t eat here Luckily it was my bf’s b-day so I didn’t mind
