Words cannot describe the compassion, professionalism, and overall 5-star experience that L &L provides.  As many know, moving in and out of Hoboken can be a hassle--reserving elevators, street parking, etc. but when my original movers canceled on me at 8:30 pm the night before our move (scheduled for 9 am the next day) I truly was panicked beyond belief.  Completely thrown, I found myself on Yelp looking for movers with the best ratings and hoping there was some chance of not losing my move time or having to extend my lease.  I left a message on Doug's machine around 9 pm Friday night and was restless all night thinking I was going to have to figure an alternative out.  I was awoken at 6:30 am Saturday morning by Doug's voice, sympathizing with my voicemail, appalled at the unprofessional demeanor of my prior movers and told me he would get a team together and come my apt by 8:30 am to move us during our scheduled move time.  When Doug and his team showed up they immediately got to work on wrapping our furniture, helping us pack up the rest of our stuff (which was scattered about because we did not think we were moving that day anymore), and were delightful to talk to.  They handled all our belongings with care and consideration, and worked together with us to assemble, place, and prepare the furniture our new home (about 40 mins outside of Hoboken). And to top it off--they were not overly priced, they did not "nickel-and-dime" us, and they did not charge us for a "last minute" type fee. I would always, always recommend these guys to anyone moving in the area, they saved the day in more ways than one and did it with a smile on their faces. Do not use any other moving company EVER--these are your guys!!

I  witnessed their very aggressive driving this morning cutting people off and slamming on their brakes. There is no way that the contents inside of the truck were safe. I definitely would not recommend this company if that is the way your stuff is being treated.

Fantastic movers. Mike was a great foreman. Everyone was courteous and professional. Pricing was competitive. Will use again for all moves going forward.

Working with L&L was definitely one of the more stressful moving experiences I've had. I was told the move would start between 10-10:30am. The crew showed up at 8:45am, with no call or warning ahead of time, and were then annoyed that I wasn't immediately ready to go. They tossed my sheets and bedding on the floor and completely ignored me when I asked them to give me a minute to get organized. I was still in my pajamas! I did book last minute, but there was absolutely no need for them to treat me disrespectfully. They also brought an extra man than they said they would, which made the move substantially more expensive. It seemed like they couldn't wait to get to their next job, and so they rushed mine. Their flat rate starts at a minimum of 4 hours, and they finished my move in 2.5, adding a lot of unnecessary pressure for me to hurry along the way. They gave me grief for packing up the contents of my fridge the day of the move- I wasn't going to leave it out in boxes overnight! Then they took off from the apartment I was moving out of without even giving us a heads up. The guy who was sort of in charge, Mike D, was the worst. He became very confrontational and rude with my friend who was helping me move. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
