I had purchased 4 bikes and equal worth of gear from this shop within last couple of years. My experience had definitely evolved better over time, especially within last 2 years. Shop employees, both sales and mechanics, and particularly manager Brody had been diligently working with me about my complaints and ruthless criticism. Facing a perfectionist customer, these folks maintained their professional and customer centric attitude and did _everything_ they can to keep me happy. These guys know cycling and everything about road/cyclocross bikes. That's what you need if you take cycling seriously.

In town from Seattle and had a valve core issue on my tubular tire for my Track bike. Recommended by OTHER local shops who couldn't help pointed me in this direction. Not an easy part to have in stock but they were confident it could be repaired and without it an important facet of my weekend wasn't going to happen. Wandered in and these guys were awesome. Mechanic took immediate charge, disappeared into mechanic-land and reappeared with a new core installed, valve extender intact and all fixed. As I wait I do what all bike geeks do and wander around the store checking out the inventory and displays. Place is awesome. A great selection of higher end quality goods, displayed in a well lit, roomy modern shop. The manager and other guys were engaging, easy to talk too and well informed about their product offerings. These guys liked their shop and you can tell. I wasn't charged for the repair, a classy offering, but I made sure I bought something as a thanks and show of support. Been in many shops across the world, these guys are right up there with the best I've ever seen.

friendly staff but very unprofessional! ordered a small rubber piece for my bike and was told they'd call me when it arrived...2 weeks later I called and it had been there all a long. ordered a derailleur and again was told they'd call me when it arrived...2 weeks later i had to call and sure enough the derailleur was already there. 3rd time is the charm right? nope! took in my bike to get service on it and was told it be ready on a particular day but comes the day and called them at noon to check on it and again they told me i'd get a call but 20 minutes before closing and no call! i had to call and rush over to get my bike before they closed! next time, Pacific Bikes Shop it is!

Overpriced store - service is good, but always check online before you buy. i paid $40 for Shimano SH10 cleats, can be found on the internet for ~$25 w/ free shipping - Disgraceful mark-up.

I read about their service and do not agree with their lack of attentiveness. If you looked at them, and they're busy with a customer, they're usually being personable and chatting to them like friends. They also have a dog inside and the vibes it gave me was that of a well trained companion which shows a lot of character about the owner. That aside, I came here to get specific things done to my 2010 bike. The person that helped me was obviously introverted and wasn't the usual "HI! HOW CAN I HELP YOU?", I appreciated this as they are attentive and do not get caught in all social norms of what ought to be a "good" service. This was shown to be true as well as the things i've asked for - true wheels, replace bearings if needed and change bottom bracket bearings. I knew that my front wheel didn't show any play, and they didn't replace the bearings there either. They did what needed to be done and did some extra work as well. They respected that I didn't need my bike tuned - this was a personal reason as I was trying to diganose if my gear skipping was caused by a damaged pawl/missing spring, and it was. My indexing is amazing after - well just like the usual. The extra work was torqued handlebar and/stem and tightened the headset. Seriously you guys are awesome. I never got the vibe that you guys only paid attention to people with big wallets, but rather their ability as an athelete or biker. As a cyclist, it is obvious that the bike doesn't make the rider. Elite cyclists don't care about the gear as much as the mental fortitude, this is evident on multiple stages in the tours. If anyone mentioned that they felt that way, I really hope that they find their self-esteem and become a part of the community. You can ALWAYS contribute, not just with money. Cheers, Thank you for making my summer awesome and you just gained a loyal customer. Hopefully I can find some goodies in your store. :) Also would like to pet the dog next time.
