La Bonbonniere Bake Shoppe never disappoints! They made an absolutely stunning cake for my best friends baby shower. The top tier was chocolate cake with cookies and cream and bottom was vanilla cake with chocolate mousse. Not only is it beautiful, but the cake itself is so delicious! I’ve gotten multiple cakes from them for so many different occasions and they have always been the highest of quality. This is the only bakery I use now for all occasions. They are the best!

UPDATE: I have got to give this company huge props. They have refunded my purchase. I messaged them that it was unexpected and thanked them. The owner is working with his production people to find out what was wrong and having them work on it. I could not ask for better customer service than they have provided and will be a customer of theirs again. As a native of Louisiana, I was so excited to see you selling King Cakes, and immediately ordered one. I had several people waiting to see if it was good as they wanted to order. After anticipating all day, I picked it up yesterday evening. The young lady at the counter was nice, the shop was nice, and smelled wonderful, everything looked and smelled delicious. The king cake looked good, but oddly had almonds on it. It smelled right on the way home. Everything seemed wonderful until I cut into it. Where is the cake? The taste is right, but it was mostly hollow, where the joy of king cake is that bread like interior with that frosting/sugar and cinnamon twisted throughout. I can't help but wonder if this one was just not made well, if the dough was rolled to thin, if the yeast didn't rise? I would so love to find a bakery that made them well as it is cost prohibitive to ship them from home.

Everything was great got eclairs apple crumb buns and Napoleon only thing could have been better if we got to see the baker. Maybe next time will definitely go back

Of all the times I have eaten cake from here, I find that the frosting/icing takes like wax. The frosting does not dissolve in your mouth as it should, rather it just sits in your mouth in an awkward way. Almost can be described as when gum sits in your mouth for too long. In addition to that, the frosting does not have any particular taste it just sits on the cake. No harm is intended, just my honest opinion. Maybe it is just me.

Everything here is so yummy from their pastries to their lunch sandwiches, workers are pleasant and I love that they always have samples on hand.
