The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and our waiter was very polite and very helpful! 

The inside of the restaurant was amazing! Many colorful and brilliant hand painted pieces of artwork was on display! I've never been to Mexico but I would imagine it to look a lot like the inside of the restaurant. It was a great meal with great ambiance.

My family and I went out there for dinner and we were very disappointed. We have gone to this restaurant many times, but tonight will be our last. The waiter, who is usually very sweet, was very surly for no reason at all, and the food I got was so small and inauthentic that it was laughable. My meal was supposed to have 5 "jumbo" shrimp, but instead had medium shrimp, and the sauce was not correct or flavored well. Tasted like it came from a can...like it was Ragu pasta sauce mixed with cream. My husband and daughter thought their meals were adequate, but I was really disappointed to pay $15 and get maybe a few tablespoons of rice, maybe 2 tablespoons of beans and 5 medium shrimp in a bad sauce. 
Sad.

This place is a gem. You won't find a better tasting, authentic Mexican food anywhere around. The service is excellent, it has great decor. If you like authentic Mexican food, try this place. It blows those franchise places out of the water.

Excellent Mexican food. The mole was very good. Great service. Very inexpensive for what you get. Definitely worth a visit.

La Cocina Mexicana is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.  My wife enjoys the Sopes, we have not found these anywhere else.  There is an authentic feel to this place.  We are all vegetarian, there are many more choices available to those who eat meat, but plenty for us.  All of us cleared our plates, including our 6 & 11 year old daughters.  Refried beans are made onsite from actual ingredients, no caulk-like tubes here!
