Picked up a cake last minute for a birthday and it was so delicious. Moist and icing was perfection. Not too sweet.

Ordered a cake for our daughters first birthday over the phone a week ago. I started ordering cakes back in 2012, I have one number on my cell contacts for them. This bakery in Freehold is the only one I know and use. My husband calls me from the shop to tell me they have no orders for us. Some lady pulls out a huge sheet cake that says "Congratulations Brandon"?? Why is she showing him a cake under a different name? So that's when the panic began. This worker goes on to tell my husband that there is ANOTHER bakery that sounds just like this one, and that's the one I called . Or maybe it's just a different one I called? She was nuts. We only call this location. How dare she imply that we were wrong . So now my husband calls me up and tells me this (I'm at the party entertaining guests) and I called the number on my contacts for Dolce and this same lady answers and tells me the same things , there's no order, I called the wrong bakery she was there the day before she never saw my order . She puts me on hold to check again meanwhile nothing . I hear her in the background talking to my husband . She says all she has is the Brandon cake and she saw no orders for us the night before . After we hung up my husband calls me back 5 minutes later to tell me that the cake is sitting in Old Bridge. I never even knew they had another location. So now he has to drive from Freehold to Old Bridge (we live in Jackson) while we have guests waiting on him because THEY screwed up. I am so livid a day later that this worker insisted I called the wrong bakery. Why didn't she use her brain and say "you know we have a different bakery and maybe it's there" instead of going back and forth . Better yet why wasn't the cake in the Freehold shop?? He had to waste time running to Old Bridge it was such a HUGE inconvenience . Guest waiting , his family too . Old Bridge is far on  Sunday 12pm with shore/weeekend traffic . Never again. The last time I ordered a cake the owners daughter took my order and they forgot to decorate my sons cake with what I requested and used the wrong size cake box and the top got squashed . I was upset back then this is hands down worst. My husband walked into the party agitated and upset because of this place and the best part , they didn't even put the red roses all over the outer top like I asked .  Be careful with custom  orders , they will NEVER get it right . I swear I feel like they screwed up and threw a cake together in Old Bridge to cover themselves .

It's like I had never had a cannoli before in my life. I drank the filling from the shell like a savage 😍😍 (worth the 1100 mile drive from home lol)

I've just witness the worst communication skills and work ethic of my life! I called the Freehold location's number to set up an appointment with the cake decorator. I made it to the appointment early in Freehold and was  told that they never book appointments for Freehold, only OldBridge. No one informed me of this when I made the appointment! Instead of finding out what happened to help me, the woman working told me, "Only the pee-ons work at this bakery and all the fancy cake people work at OldBridge." I then called OldBridge to tell them I was driving there and was told the cake decorator left!!! So she left before my appointment time which means she wouldn't have been there even I had been told to meet at OldBridge! Pathetic business ethics! They just lost a ton of business from all my friends and family!
