I really wanted to like this place. The woman working at the counter was so friendly and the pastries looked delicious and amazing. Unfortunately looks can be deceiving. The Black Forest cake was dry and lacked flavor. I don’t know how anyone could achieve that level of dryness unless the cake had been sitting in the display case for a while or had been previously frozen. The tiramisu was fresher but had barely any espresso in it. I was looking forward to eating my desserts all day but couldn’t take more than one bite before tossing them in the trash. They do give a cash discount which is nice, but ultimately only meant I wasted slightly less money than I would have had I used a card.
Amazing staff. Welcomed us and gave our son a free cookie of his choice. Will be back for sure. Thank you! Kid-friendliness: So friendly!
Amazing service! Amazing fresh delicious pastries! Great with kids! Will definitely go back and highly recommend to try! Kid-friendliness: So kind to my toddler!
There is always a fresh variety of delicious cookies available, which we bought to take home. We had hot, foamy cappuccino and shared a freshly-filled cannoli at the bakery for lunch. Service is always friendly.Food: 5/5
This place is fantastic! My hot chocolate was rich and creamy and not very sweet a common complaint for me, my chocolate mousse tart was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I met a friend, we sat on the comfortable couch and really felt as close to being in a European cafe as I have in years. The place is small and the decor is simple, but the quality of the baked goods and the service are amazing! The Italian lady at the counter offered to turn off the TV and shared a lot of details about the baked goods. We even talked recipes! Definitely worth a trip if you want to bring home some excellent Italian baked goods. Vegetarian options: All desserts are vegetables, but not many options are vegan friendly.
We stopped at an EV charger at the Home Depot down the road and walked to this bakery while charging and can’t believe how good everything was. I brought some S cookies, biscotti and other treats to my mom in NY and she said they were the best Italian cookies she’d had since she was a kid growing up in Queens. We will try to keep Allentown as our charging spot driving from Maryland and buy wayyyyy more stuff next time…!
Ordered a 12 inch carrot cake this past weekend. It was for a farewell party. When we cut into the cake there was no sign of carrots- it was a plain yellow cake with cream cheese icing. It did not look, taste nor smell like a carrot cake. There were minute flecks of orange here and there. For this sham of a cake I was charged $72 and change. What a waste of my money. Attached is a picture of a the cake before it was cut and after. The writing was juvenile, not at all professional. The decoration was mediocre. All in all a total disappointment.
They are so friendly and kind. As soon my kids walked into the store they were greeted with cookies. My husband liked the Sicilian expresso.Everything that we bought were delicious from cookies, pastries, and fresh baked bread. Our place to go for all family deserts.Food: 5/5
I was excited to try this bakery out which seemed to have good reviews. What I got was a dry cake that was upside down with writing that looked like a 4 year old did it. I could have went to a grocery store and got a nicer cake for my money. Not one person at my daughters party liked the cake. I bought this cake a few months ago so I don’t remember the exact price but it was around $70 for a quarter sheet. Entirely too much money for the cake I received. What a huge disappointment.
Very good pastries, and it has a cute little sitting area and store front highly recommended the peanut butter cream puffs.Food: 5/5
