This gym is the epitome of mediocre. It's fairly priced but it can get very very very boring really fast. The playlist that plays in the gym is really bad and the color scheme is bland. My biggest issue with this place was the bathroom and general free weight area. The bathroom is usually smelly or has overflowing trash bins. The showers are pretty ugly and dirty. A lot of members in this gym can't flush a toilet and they just leave weights everywhere like it's a past time and the machines are worn out some even broken. It took several months just to replace the cable cross over machines

Deserved or not, this LA Fitness has a "so-so" reputation among Holmdel residents whom I've asked about it.   There was a perception in 2015-early 2016, that the gym and pool weren't particularly well maintained.

We clean the carpets at this facility now their so fresh & so clean clean 😍

The gym is fairly new and the staff is pretty friendly. It's in a great location in the new Clark Common's strip mall. The facility is really big and the locker rooms are clean.

The staff is generally very friendly and helpful. The classes that are offered are professional and well-taught. The showers could be cleaner. Perhaps consider replacing rusty metal, for example (towel rack in the pool area) , shower rods, and metal around the lights in the showers with non-metal material.
