John Bourassa A nice and cozy little neighborhood Italian bistro in Palm-Aire called La Forketta is a great place to unwind, relax, and indulge in Northern Italian cuisine. It is a husband and wife operation with a few servers husband is from Northern Italy and is also the cook/chef, so I was told by our server. The service is prompt and attentive, and you can tell that it is frequented by regular locals because they are greeted with hugs and kisses.  They serve all the typical Italian food that you’ll find on every Italian menu everywhere, but very good.  On their website, they  pride themselves to have the best pizza in Pompano Beach. I have eaten there a few times over the years: twice for pizza lunches and 5-6 times for regular dinner.  I humbly disagree about their claim of serving the best pizza in pompano Beach, or even placing among the top best around. Their pizza is only average-good and very skimpy on toppings.  However, their non-pizza meals are something that will make you want to go back.  They do not serve their self-proclaimed “best pizza” at dinner on weekends, only for lunch or take-out.  Also on weekend nights, they have live entertainment - a young crooner who knows not to compete with the patrons’ conversations.  Moderate prices for today’s standard, but portions are small.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Love the bread they served us as appetizer. They make their own, therefore it was fresh. I went there with some coworkers and we all love our food. Will definitely come back!!

Wonderful. I celebrated my birthday at Forketta and they made me feel very happy. The food is  excellent, the service first class, the atmosphere super cozy and now enlivened by an extraordinary singer. Very supportive prices especially in these times of high inflation. The lady who attends is super kind, I think she is the owner. Highly recommend the Forketta restaurant.

It’s so hard to put in words my experience in this Italian cuisine.. which I can say Olive Garden has better Italian food than. Minestrone dirty broth with zucchini and carrots. Punto! salad and fried calamari the most rubbery and tasteless we’ve ever had. When we saw the food, we already could tell, by the way they look, that it was going to be a terrible experience. My brave husband ate 1/2 of the salad, and some calamari. I just tried the soup and ate two calamari rings.. The waitress notice, when we asked the check, the food was still there. She at least asked if it was okay. I honestly said it wasn’t. But she never brought to consideration  any further question or even to do anything for us! For sure that was my first and last time at this place. We left and went to eat in another restaurant.

It was my first time there, my friends took me for birthday.. it was so delicious, we had a pizza, I had lasagna, others had soup, calamari, and veal dinners. Service was fast our waitress with kind, helpful and doing it all with a smile. I definitely will go back

First time at the restaurant we were told our table was in the back we sat down water & bread seemed like a nice atmosphere. Within 2 minutes were told very abruptly we had to move!!! That was not our table!!! They moved us to the front in a table that was wedged between 2 others the waitress finally came we asked for ice tea they don’t have ice tea they didn’t have any drinks for our children only water. Their pizza was mediocre my husband had veal Parmesan which he said was good my father had chicken parm was mediocre…I had homemade spinach raviolis which were soft not to my liking with meat sauce that was eh… the red sauce was not any better…they are trying to be a fancy high priced restaurant in a shabby strip mall…the team assisting the waitress very rude . We will not be heading back there anytime soon or ever. Very disappointed.
