The service is great, very attentive. The food we ordered was delicious, steak plate, shrimp plate, maduros and guava mimosas! Yes please, very good, we’ll be backFood: 5/5
Great Nicaraguan food in East Bay. Many traditional favorites are available including Nacatamales and of course Fritanga translates into mix of friend food including plantains, pork , cheese and grilled steak and chicken. They also have a variety of traditional fresh juices and cacao which is a chocolate milk drink. We opted for Nicaraguan beer Toña which is a crisp and light pilsner style. Place has both indoor and outdoor seating and there is plenty of free outdoor parking. It is a modest place but service is friendly and attentive. Good latin American spot to try. Look forward to trying their other dishes on my next visit.
Everything about this place is phenomenal! The customer service, the authentic food, location, live music on occasions, outdoor seating and did I mention how good the food is?! I would eat here every day if I could! If you have never tried Niguragua food this is a great start. The queso Frito fried cheese is my must try recommendation! And don't forget the plantains Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options and can accommodate your preferences Kid-friendliness: Seating inside and outside.
It’s the closest Nicaraguan restaurant from where I live and to my dismay the food is expensive and not good. The Nicaraguan restaurants in San Francisco have better food.Food: 1/5
I already came here a couple of time, this is a very lovely place, and I love the vibe of it. The hostess are always really nice ladies. The food is delicious, it was my first time trying Nicaraguan food and I love it. I’ll definitely come back here again.
I was wandering around when I was stuck waiting nearby for my car. This was a great find! Food was fresh, portion was good, price is great! Service was fantastic! I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes. Update: ordered the same dish again. The cabbage was a little tart/too much vinegar or something. The chicken didn’t really look as pretty as the first time when I ordered it. But it was still tasty. You definitely need a thick jacket if you dine in. It was freezing inside. I went on a Wednesday afternoon. Customer service was good.
Super good nica food! Glad there’s a place in concord! Loved the queso frito and carne asada!Food: 5/5
lovely food and we were greeted so kindly when we came in : i will definitely come back to try something else on the menu Food: 5/5
Was really good & tasty! I miss my abuela’s cooking but she’s back in Nicaragua, so it was really nice to enjoy some traditional Nicaraguan food. Steak was marinated well. Will be returning :
This restaurant is small but cute. Not a lot of room inside but It looks like they took a little bit of their private parking lot to make it into an outside dining. What a brilliant idea. More seating means more people can be accommodated! I really love the outside dining it’s cool, comfy and feel the fresh air. The food is amazing! Very tasty you get a taste of sweet and savory in your plate. Most of the plates come with beans and rice, salad, fried plantains or plantain chips. We ordered Camarones a La Jalapeña, that shrimp had creamy sauce with onions and jalapeños. Wow! It’s so good, I can eat that sauce plain with just white rice. Also ordered Churrasco with Queso Frito on the side. The steak was cooked just right medium rare not dry all. The queso adds flavor to your bite. We also had Pollo Asado, Arroz con Leche, and Buńuelos. What a meal!!! The staff: Alanna our server was awesome. She was so patient with us. Whatever we asked for she brought it with a smile! Thank you Alanna! Last but not least the owner Jennifer was so down to earth. She came and had a chat with us and most of the guests that were seated outside! I’d say this was a great experience, great food, good service, and price is not bad at all!
