"Our family is back in Capitol Park where it all began in 1956.Featuring a brick oven pizza, full bar, beer and wine. We have a 12 seat marble bar, casual yet trendy dining. Located on the first floor of the Albert building, the new La Lanterna will debut with daily dinner service and a menu of Neapolitan-style brick oven pizzas, salads, paninis, pastas and other classic Italian entrees. A full bar, anchored by a selection of affordable wines from California and Italy, will also be available."

This is one of my friends fav spots. So after leaving another restaurant we weren’t happy with she suggested here. We wish she had in the first place. When we step in the door the warm welcome was so inviting! The energy in there was awesome! We sat down and started ordering all kinds of drinks off the menu. Every drink we had was good! My salad and shrimp Alfredo was flavorful and tasty. I don’t eat pork but my friends pizza and pasta smelled and look delicious! Im definitely going back soon to take my husband.
I enjoyed a Lunch with a friend of the family. Wonderful experience, love the different pictures of Italy. I ordered Calamari and expected opposite of what I received. The dish over-delivered in taste, presentation, and after-taste. Both pizzas were well made and “Perfecto”. I highly recommend this spot to anyone that wants to w joy a good lunch dinner, and a good cocktails
Their wings and blackened chicken were yummiest! Crispy and flavourful. We liked everything we ordered except the pizza which was irony because its a pizza place! Rest all were good!
Even though they were extremely busy the staff especially Brenna were amazing. The GM was very aware and engaging with all customers and helping where he could. Hands down best meal we had in Detroit!!!!!!
Went with a handful of friends for dinner and the place had a great vibe. It's a cozy place and was fully packed. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered food but had to wait roughly 20 mins to get the food. That was quite a wait for a cozy place. Our food was delish and we enjoyed the dinner. Vegetarian options: They can make any item Vegetarian and also have Vegetarian dishes in the menu.
Fantastic Ristobar-esque atmosphere. The drinks were creative and well executed. The Food was served quickly, and was delicious from start to finish. My only critique is that the pasta menu seems to rely heavily on butter and sage as key flavors. While each dish on its own was a work of art, after trying several they seemed mildly repetitive. Overall fantastic experience! We will certainly have to return in order to give a more balanced review.
Love this place. Second time visiting. Had the meatballs, ravioli, and Tuscan pizza. So good.
Great place to get a fun & tasty lunch. Larry was awesome and served up the best drinks while being able to keep customers feeling very welcomed. The limoncello wings are a must.
We walked in around 8pm on a Saturday and they got us seated right away. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The food was one of the best I’ve had in the area. We had four people and all of our food was incredible. The atmosphere is very cozy and our server was awesome too. One of my new favorite spots in Detroit!
Had a great lunch and some nice cocktails. We sampled the preset cocktail menu and found several gems, padticularly That's Amore which was a blend of unusual and innovative flavors. Food was all well above average and obviously made with time-tested recipes and high levels of care. Restaurant was obviously short staffed who isn't? but it did not show in the service as the staff was attentive and pleasant. A great find in a great city.
