La Nueva Rou Bakery (R.O.U for the República Oriental del Uruguay) has authentic tasting Uruguayan foods.  This bakery in Elizabeth, New Jersey is one of our regular stops as we travel through the state.  We usually pick up an assortment of Uruguayan baked goods including  bizcochos, sandwiches, and pasta frola. We are always satisfied with the food.  If we have time, we stay for coffee and a few bizcochos and we buy a few dozen bizcochos to eat at home.

This place is amazing! A cute cafe! The bizcochos are so delicious! Their Leche con cafe is great too! They are the best! :)

At some point they where a great bakery, now they are too expensive and their products are not that appetizing. Service is a bit or miss and they are not open all the time
