Located just below the gates of Sam Rayburn Reservoir where the river flows wide and clear through this extension of The Big Thicket. Come enjoy well-appointed suites, modern conveniences and gourmet breakfasts in a 1900′s style home or an authentic log cabin.
This elegant farmhouse, nestled between towering hardwoods and native pines, is built in the style of turn-of-the-century builder, W.P. Cook. The living areas and luxurious suites, while furnished with period and traditional furnishings, will provide all of the accoutrements today’s modern travelers expect – free wifi, flat screen satellite and DVD capable TVs and large comfortable beds and private baths. The log cabin while furnished in primitive style is quite comfortable and functional. The top shelf amenities are environmentally friendly – thoughtfully selected by the owners.
Besides fresh fruit, juices and coffee, the breakfasts will be made from scratch in the onsite kitchen using original and traditional recipes from the area. Every afternoon at 5 o’clock guests may enjoy fruits, baked goods, cheeses and wine, tea or coffee at the Innkeeper’s Reception.
