How the average working person is supposed to register their vehicle with the hours they are open is confusing to me. I have to completely change my work schedule to get there in time. And if you show up at 4:01 PM you can bet that they have already locked the front door. If this was a business they would go under

The registration office is great. Note to people calling it the DMV though, they are two separate places. You will wait at the DMV XD

Great folks...very helpful and too bad they only make $12.00/hr and too bad they have to deal with people like the one that wrote the nasty review. Reviews like that speak more about the people that write them than the people they write about.

This place was great. I live in CA but purchased a car locally here in Durango. We came in around lunch time and I was expecting the place to be packed. Much to my surprise there was no line, as we were literally the only people there. The clerk was friendly and knew what she was doing. In and out in less than 10 minutes! If only all DMV visits were like this. CA could only dream of being this nice!

A new level of incompetence.  I had the displeasure of trying to register a vehicle at the Durango DMV.  The group there is unbelievably unhelpful and I had to make several follow up trips because of misinformation.  Unfortunately, these idiots are protected as are all government employees, would love to see them cut it in the real world.  I guess I can take comfort in the fact that these idiots make $12/hr.
