Staying at La Posada is like being a guest in a beautiful Hispanic mansion! 3 gardens (one of them HUGE, with beautiful trees and a fun maze for kids) and great architecture throughout the property. If you love art and history, book a room and take at least a whole half-day to go around and explore. If you can, take 2 or 3 days off from the hustle and bustle of life, and enjoy this beautiful place!
If compared to fancy Santa Fe hotels, La Posada in Winslow is very affordable, while as beautiful, if not more! 
Some rooms have refrigerator, others don't; some have a balcony, other a jacuzzi, so ask about the specific room amenities you'd like before you book. 
Each room is exquisitely and uniquely decorated - makes me want to come back many times and try all of them! I love, love, love the Hispanic brightly colored wooden furniture in the rooms and throughout the property! Definitely a 5 stars plus!

This is a delightfully, charming hotel with clever and eclectic decor. No cookie-cutter chain hotel here. Didn't hurt that lucious, fragrances were lofting through the air from The Turquoise Room (their fab upscale restaurant). Only wish there were better parking. The parking area right in front of the hotel is fine but the overflow parking area is unpaved and not well lit. Was there to see a play in their ballroom so can't comment on their rental rooms.

Beautiful hotel, gardens and restaurant. Perfect destination for foodies and train lovers. Train stop adjacent to the hotel. Picnic tables, shaded verandas and water gardens.
The Turquoise Room has great food with beautiful presentation, endless coffees and gracious staff.

Beautiful hotel, with amazing history. My family were overnight guests and enjoyed the room. We ate at The Turquoise Room and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend splurging here for dinner instead of going out. Amtrak stops at the hotel, too. There is a nice seating area to watch the trains go by. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Enjoyed this stop on our Route 66 family vacation.

I've been to La Posada twice; once for lunch with my wife,  and a second time as my daughter and I drove home from California. We stayed overnight and ate a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The hotel was rescued from almost certain destruction by a group of locals who wanted to preserve a historic building. The story is on their website.  If you're driving through Winslow, pass up the econo-box motels and stay at La Posada. It's well worth it. (and the earplugs on the pillows are a much appreciated touch)
