The food is ok. The best part is the rice. We arrived a half hour before closing and they seated us. The food was out quick. Waiter was nice.
We got our drinks and stale chips with salsa super fast. We waited 20 minutes for a server to take our order. A female server asked the lady who brought our drinks, who was going to serve us? I didn't hear the response but they both stood there for 15 minutes looking at us. There where 4 tables occupied including ours. Our server finally came over and was very short with us. Maybe he just had zero personality? We ordered and the food came out quickly. I tried the new shredded beef and got a years worth of salt in just one meal. It all tasted like salt seriously. My wife was extremely sick after we got home. I would highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs.
Went here for a birthday party with lots of people. The staff did a good job of getting everyone served timely as many were going to a movie afterward. The food was good. I had a platter with multiple items. The enchilada and the smothered burrito were the best items. Unfortunately, the Tamale was very dry with little meat. Overall I enjoyed the food and will definitely be going again.
I usually order the chili Verde burrito. But last night I had the beef taco salad. Gross!!! The hamburger tasted weird and Absolutely no seasoning at all on the meat. The other people there with us said the food is very bland. Won't go back. Tmm
This location has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat. The owner makes a point to come around and check on each table at least one time per meal, the servers are great and always helpful and the food is great. They bring your food out on a hot plate so the food stays hot longer. The chips and salsa are always so good. The salsa can be spicy which I love but watch out for that if you wiggle with spice food. The rest of the menu isn’t spicy so no need to worry there.
Loved their chips and salsa, but unfortunately it ends there. I had their Nachos Grande and was very disappointed. Each of the components were good, the meat, chips, and guacamole, but the preparation was disappointing. They looked good. There was a lot of cheese, but it was just clumped on the top and not melted thoroughly. I will try them again, but will avoid the nachos and see if I can improve their rating.
PAY WITH CASH to avoid credit card fees. Dined in: food was authentic and delicious, lots of options, including vegetarian. Some menu items were not available, but I get it--inflation and availability of goods is wildly unpredictable everywhere right now. Service was fast, they gave us chips and salsa while we waited. I've eaten here a several times and really liked the tamales, tacos, burrito, and especially the chicken enchilada with rice and beans.
The girl at the front had major attitude for no reason. That’s what happens when you hire 16 year olds. I repeated my order over the phone 3 times, then when I proceeded to pick up my order. It was still wrong! Definitely not the same as the south salt lake location. Won’t be ever going back, unfortunately I’ll have to make the drive across town for better service and food.
If you’re looking for sub-par TexMex with inflated prices, this is THE place. I got the enchiladas verdes with chicken. It was mostly cheese on top of a tortilla. There were a couple weird chunks of chicken that were oddly-shaped, but very little chicken in that thing. The beans and rice were fine. The chips and salsa were okay I guess? The salsa was really more of a spicy tomato purée than a salsa though. While the food here is 2 stars, the service was 4 stars. They were very kind and accommodating, so I balanced the full review to 3 stars.
We usually do take out,,, this time the food smelled funny and it looked just as off. Black pieces of who knows what were in the food. Apparently a side order of fries is smaller than the kids fries. The tortilla chips tasted old and stale. Just not impressed as a long time customer. The service is getting worse.
