This is a very well- kept mission. It is preserved all the different buildings that the mission would have needed to survive, everything from the blacksmith to granary. It has a beautiful church as well. There is some livestock that is neat for the kids. At one point in time there was flowing water and fountains, but the recent drought has shut most of it down. There are some walking trails and plenty of wildlife to boot. The mission goes back for several miles, and there are additional cistern and buildings around a large loop trail if you take the time to walk it. The mueseam at the entrance covers a lot of history. A lot of the locals use the trail up to the large cross up the hill for exercise, but there is a nice panoramic view at the top.

Great trails for hiking. The restoration to the mission is amazing! Love that you can peek in to each room and get a real sense of what it would have looked like. Be forewarned that the visitor's center and bathrooms close about an hour before the mission closes.

This is a very nice place for walking, hiking and biking. The area is very large and there are quite a few paths off of the main 3 mile loop. Of course there is also a mission which is well kept and mostly open to the public. Park on the street across from the main entrance to avoid paying for parking.

I learn something new every time I visit. The docents and reenactors are superb teachers! This time I improved my spinning skills.

Quiet and serene. Horse and hiking trails, great place to take the kids and learn some white washed history of the Spanish missionaries.
