This was my first time staying at a La Quinta, I was disappointed when I finally got to my hotel room after a very long day of travel-only to open the door and have a huge waft of cigarette slap me in the face. I'm not sure why hotels allow smoking in their rooms, especially when there is a balcony from which to smoke, flick ashes and fling spent butts. This is a 3 out of 5 stars, for a 2.5 star hotel. The location is convenient to Houston Ship Channel industry, and while rooms are OK the general care and look of the place is kinda old. It could definitely use some cleaning and maintenance. The wall A/C unit was loud and seemed to struggle to keep up, even in the relatively 'cool' Houston fall weather. Another weird thing, the shower head is positioned rather low. I've hit my head on it multiple times. It was a decent value for the price, but given the issues mentioned (especially cigarette smelling room), I don't plan to stay here again.

They have treated us so well here. We had some issues when we got there but they went over and beyond to fix them. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price is right. It is not a five star hotel but it was very nice for our extended local stay here. I will stay here again if nessisary or send family or friends to stay here.

Ive not given 5 stars in awhile. We really like this La Quinta. Clean and quiet is all we need and we got it. Even with our room being pool side and a bunch or people at the pool its still quiet. Staff has been helpful and polite. Sylvan Beach is not far and there is a grocery store near to. Great place

We had a nice stay here recently! The  gentleman Christian who checked us in was extremely quick and friendly.Yes the room/hotel was older but very clean and well maintained. Most of the time here was spent with our kids by the beautiful pool. Also they had Texas waffles for breakfast so pretty cool. It seemed like they are doing some painting or upgrades but overall very quiet and inexpensive so we really had no complaints!

This is an older LaQuinta, but don't let that keep you from staying there. Rooms are very clean and staff members are great.  Thank you Christian & Sylvia
