In a nearly empty restaurant at 4 pm it took more than 10 minutes to seat us. More than another 10 to get a waiter to the table for our order. The beer was fine. The soup was good. However I would not recommend this place.

The staff was very friendly, and the food was good, but we waited quite awhile for things to arrive.  We tried the black cherry soda and the root beer - not bad.  Nice atmosphere in a cute little city, and kid-friendly.

The food is usually quite good. They have good prices and good specials. Their beer is really good.

For a brew house this has a fairly small range of options. They have a lot of beers - but they're all along the same lines and someone aiming for lighter or less hoppy beers can only enjoy the root beer. They do serve beers on Sunday (I don't know how!), but I didn't enjoy the experience. The friendly staff tried real hard, but the lack of options just ruined it for me.

Interesting setting, historic area and building, good food and service, especially good fish and chips, craft beer, steaks. Some outdoor seating.
