My car broke down Sunday on 41 north, I called my insurance to get my car towed. In the mean time my father drives there to make sure I wasn't cold since it was snowing and my car would not start,  I understand the risk of being on the shoulder but my location was not bad. Lake bluff officer pulls over and not even greeting immediately asks what is going on? Not even a hello is everyone ok? so I explained my car  stopped but my insurance was notified and a tow truck was on its was. She told me there was no way I could stay and wait for a tow truck and that she would call a tow truck from her end to move my car immediately! I asked her why if I was getting towed shortly and she insurance takes too long and I could not be there because it could be dangerous. I appreciate her concern but now I would be stuck with a HUGE bill that I was not in a position financially. She said that's not her problem, not to mention the tow driver she called told me I could only pay in cash which I did not have!  she asked for my DL with out the need for that since i did not commit any driving violation and there was no accident, But hey im sure she will get a great job pat on the back!
