We came into the park to access the Gemini Springs Bike trail, you can access the dirt parking lot by going past the boat ramps.   But there may be a better way by going down to Old Deland road.     The restrooms at the bike trail head were closed and out of order.   The camping area was also closed.   Its a VERY busy boat ramp on a Sunday late morning.   Looks like you are supposed to pay to launch a boat but I didn't see anyone at the entrance station.

Close to Gemini Springs and the St Johns. Friendly staff. Fun getaway place for locals too.

Beautiful place.
Offers camping, excellent boat ramp.
Easy truck/trailer parking. Clean restrooms.

We love this park,  have been vacationing out our back door here for years.. Its beautiful,  clean,  the staff is awesome... But something has changed.. Now that you have to go thru Mon-Fri  call in for reservations and all the control of the park has been removed from the  on  site staff...there seem to be no rules, its not recreational camping,  its call 911 camping... Its sadly no longer a vacation place, but a place for  riff raff to pitch their tents and call it home for 7 days.   Our last two vacations for peace were  tainted by cussing,  stomping,  folks disrepectful of the earth we were camping on , their own children, and the folks they were camping with.   We miss the old days... And would love to see this   this gorgeous place  returned to its roots...
