I really do love Thunderbird Lake. I won't get into a story, but when my life was alive, we spent a big part of one summer, sleeping I'm our Van. We had 10 acres of land 12 miles shout of the Lake, but we got a wild hair that summer and lived out there basicly. We worked at the same place in Okla. City, and we'd get off work stop and get some bait and beer, and something for supper and head out there. At what I call Sandy Beach, there was point where we parked and they have a men and women's bathroom with showers. That's one of my best summers, and memories.

We have been to Little Axe campground several times. The Pavillion rental price is great with good views. Comes with charcoal barbecue and table. They have some great campsites with views as well. Every camp host has been great.

The water is a bit murky but it's very homey and good for day trips & picnic lunches.

Good place to camp. Gets busy during the summertime. Hate that they charge full price to camp during the winter season especially when the  public bathrooms are locked.
