Church shouldn't be a place you go on Sunday morning to feel good about your life. We don't think of it as an insurance policy where you can "get saved and secure a place in heaven."
Church is about being a group of people who have been caught up Jesus' vision of a Kingdom where the poor are lifted up, the outsider is welcomed in, the captive is freed from whatever or whomever is oppressing them.
We're not perfect, but many of us have been healed from a blindness that keeps us from seeing the needs of others.
