Host at this place was rude and racism!! I'm international student from Asia went there, June 9th 2017, with my African American boyfriend for breakfast. Host : racism/rude I asked for a table and we was waiting for host to seat us, instead she left us standing there without telling anything if she was busy or what. After awhile, I became unsure if the restaurant was opened, so I asked to make sure we didn't come too early. Thank God that she then realized we were waiting (I don't mind waiting for a table, but please communicate with us). Then we was asked to pay $27.51 for two people. For me when I eat out I normally tip 20-30% depend on service, but if a buffet restaurant I normally put trip 15-17%. And I put tip $4.49 which was around 16% from $27.51 HOST LOOKED AT ME AND SAID "TIP...FOUR DOLLARS...." (Her face and tone of voice degraded us). Well, I felt terrible like I did something wrong and I don't understand. This was the first time in this restaurant and I didn't know how the service would be, so I put just 16% tip. Anyway, I told her "I'll leave some cash on the table too". I walked to the table with questions she treated us like that because we're color people!!? However, just only her was rude to us. Server : lovely Our server was a lady. Though she poured water spill out of a glass, she did her best on her job and took care of us well. She said sorry for spilling water and I friendly told her you probably need a cup of coffee to wake you up. We left $5 more tip for this lovely server and I was thinking I shouldn't have put tip at first so I could give all tip to this server total $9.45. Omelet station : good The lady at the station was busy when I went to the omelet cooking station, but she has common sense and told me "I'll be right back with you soon" That was good because I would know I wasn't abandoned like it happened at host station. She made omelet I asked and served me at the table. Food (breakfast) : good There were variety of food, but I had just waffles, omelet and coffee. And it was good! View : Great We were sitting beside the window with the lake and mountain view outside. Ducks were walking, birds, tree, sky and etc. It was beautiful for the morning to make me felt calm and relax. Overall : Good (except host)

I loved the food, service and staff.

Breakfast buffet is very good. Large selection. Service in the mornings is mediocre at best.
