My experience at Lamar was good overall. I started off in the education department and was annoyed at how inflexible they were in regards to scheduling and classes in the degree plan. I switched to the Family Studies department and received my BS. The family studies department was small, so professors had plenty of time to give support. I enjoyed my on campus and online classes. There seemed to be a large amount of local and international students. The school itself was kept safe by a police force, but the location of the school is not in a safe part of town. If you plan to move to the area, please be cautious of walking around alone. I felt prepared for my future after graduation and found my dream job within 4 months of graduation. I can't say enough about how great (most) of my professors were.

Only university in golden triangle. Education and infrastructures is good. Well accredited university. Only one and half hour drive from Houston.

Best school for the international student, as university have many scholarships. Large campus. clean class rooms, good computer labs and special rooms in the library for interview and group study. Recreational sports is really good for fun.

Horrible school with terrible food services and professors. And campus life was non existent

Lamar is improving and getting bigger and more reputable! I'm a doctoral candidate in I.E. and I'm totally satisfied with everything here including faculties, facilities and environment! I would really recommend LU!
