Beautiful building and incredible views of the New York-New Jersey area.

Although I've lived in NJ most of my life, I only learned about this castle about 5 years ago and finally took the time to visit. The castle was cheerfully decorated for Christmas, which added to the charm. There are many period furnishings and decorative objects around the castle. The signs provide interesting insight into Mr. Lambert, as well as his family, business and general industrial life during Paterson's heyday. The exterior and the grounds are well maintained, and the interior is nicely preserved.

Great spot for pictures. Lots of details on everything in and outside of the house if you take the time to look.

A hidden, well preserved mansion from the turn of last century, with a lot of silk-baron related history.  Worth stopping in, exploring, and supporting!

The "castle" itself is a nice little attraction. If you are in the neighborhood and have sometime to spare, it's worthwhile spending half an hour or so. They also host events, We recently went there on a Sunday afternoon to see an Opera which was a wonderful experience.
