Soups are all homemade. Potatoes are the best. Most waitress staff is friendly and assertive at there job. My dining experience whether breakfast or diner has been satisfactory.

The lamplighter cafe is a nice friendly place! Potatoes to die for can't get them anywhere else like them. The burgers are all 1/4 to 1/2 lb each. Biscuits and gravy tastes wonderful! GOOD CHEAP COFFEE!!

I spent several mornings here studying and having breakfast. I was always very pleased with the experience.

My Roast Beef sandwich came in bits.  Old special maybe?  My group got mostly breakfast they were satisfied.  If you go maybe breakfast or a BLT.

Stopped in for dinner, 3 tables and 1 waitress. 
Not busy.
Ordered fried chicken
 Chicken came out and frozen inside. 
Could not get waitress's attention as she never checked back. Finally got food sent back. After 50 minutes we had to go. Waiting at register to pay, she walks right by us and places new chicken on table......
No one there.
She walks to get another new table order sends it kitchen.
Finally she asKS us how was dinner?
I said we have to go, can we pay, and can you put chicken to go?
Walks back to get chicken, pit's in box, talks .99 off bill. No sorry, thanks, or nothing. Server needs a new career choice.....
