Check in process was quick this time but once we were in the room it took forever for the doctor to arrive. My son was tired and hungry after many hours of waiting. The hospital should read and address these reviews.

I came in with chest pain l. I had a sharp pain in my chest and couldn’t breathe. There was a male Nurse and he asked me to lift my shirt for an EKG in the Triage not in a private room or anywhere else. I understand the procedures but he wanted me to lift my shirt in front of two male nurses without being covered or taken to a private room. I felt like my rights to privacy were being violated so I kindly asked for a female nurse or a female to do my EKG. The male nurse then threw the stickers to the floor all rudely and went to the back to the ER then came back and told me all rudely to go wait outside until a female nurse was available for me. He basically called people for a long time for a good 30 minutes and he send me outside because I asked for a female nurse. I waited outside for 2 hours I had chest pain mind you. They didn’t respect my “ Right to Respect” my decisions or my right to privacy. By making me wait a long period of time outside all because I asked for a female nurse. Right to Respect Also means that if you’re in pain, you have the right to get your pain addressed. My medical reasons were not addressed and they took forever to call me and when they did all the staff was rude. When I complained to the House Nurse or The person in charge they were also rude. So I left because no one was attending me. Good thing that it wasn’t my heart and it was my lungs but my lungs are also very important and needed to be addressed and I am disabled mind you. So you guessed it they charged the insurance and they never attended me. They charged for something that they didn’t even offer and not only that they canceled everything so when my primary care physician called they had nothing but they charged. #medicare #medicaid #Texas insurance be ware make sure if this hospital charges they actually did what they supposedly did. Mine was all a lie. I never got any medical attention all I got was a hospital staff full of rudeness and hatred. #Texashealthandhunamservices be ware. I hope the state comes in and sees the bad service and the crude way of this hospital. Someone needs to see how inhuman they are and how unethical they treat the patients who walk in with a medical problem. Someone needs to pay attention. I never even got an apology for the way they made me feel. They abused me verbally and made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcomed, and they emotional hurt me. I felt like I bothered them because I was sick. I was in severe pain and no one cared. I feel so wronged and not even an apology letter or an explanation to why I was treated so crudely. Is it because I am disabled?? I don’t understand how nurses can make a person feel like such nuisance.

Emergency room personnel including security guards would benefit from taking training on how to be a bit more professional in addressing their visitors. My recommendation is to take your money elsewhere... take your family members and your money elsewhere.... maybe then this hospital will take notice.

My mom was a patient there during the summer of 2015 and 2016. Both times she received excellent attention! The doctors and nurses were kind, patient, and very thorough with her! Very pleased!!!
