"Larry's, a cocktail bar from the owners of Heritage Bicycles—the Lakeview-based coffee and bike shop opened in February. It occupies a small space that opens onto the lobby, boasting just 21 seats 16 located at the four tables, plus another five at the bar and some room in the middle for standing around a long communal table. A curved stained-glass ceiling/skylight original to the building and geometric chandeliers illuminate couches, armchairs, and long wooden tables with their own lamps and built-in electrical outlets. Meanwhile the bar itself is cozier than the lobby but has a similarly old-timey feel, with vintage art on the walls including several display boxes filled with pinned moth specimens."

Original cocktails in an original setting. Very good service, very good drinks that you won't find everywhere their own touch on the classics too, good ingredients and bottles behind the bar. Pick your atmosphere: you can sit a the counter where it's more like a speakeasy, or at a table in the bustling bar, or in the lobby area of the apartment building where it's more like a quieter lounge. My favorite bar in uptown.
Unique cocktail bar located inside a building Lawrence House. The bartender is very interactive. Good collection of alcohol. Nice seating area. Only drinks are available. No food. You can get wines and beer too. Loved the ambiance and the vibe.
A very chill place that you wouldn't think is also a bar. My friends & I had a great time & even had chats with some residents of the building see the friendly dog?. We went on a Saturday night and the bartender was great. We were able to engage him about beverage history. I didn't know Schlitz was originally a Chicago brand until he told us! I'm definitely going back there & will leave a more detailed review with better photos. I assume my friend hoisting his partner in the air is not normal behavior for Larry's, but we liked the place that much.
Great spot for cocktails in Uptown. It's in the lobby of an apartment building with cozy lounge area. They have events throughout the week, including trivia and jazz. There's a patio area in the back during warmer weather.
This might be the best unexpected find of this trip. Fantastic original cocktail list in an emblematic setting. Cannot recommend enough. I am only sorry that I neglected to get a picture of the cocktails.

Really cute place in the middle of what used to be a hotel lobby. Great drinks, friendly bartenders. Only complaint is the music seems to be the bartender's choice and doesn't offer much variety and isn't my cup of tea, but that's not a big deal.Service: 5/5
A lovely little bar located inside a newly restored building. Who ever decorated and designed Larry's and the rest of the building is amazing. The drinks are delicious and carfully made. There is a selection of mixed cocktails and craft beer. There's also some Miller High Life and Hams for those looking for some old school options. Their back patio is amazing and they have recently started hosting several events. Everyone I've brought here has been impressed and really enjoyed the vibe. I highly recommend this spot. It located steps away from the Aragon Ballroom and Lawrence Red line stop.
