This cemetery is unlike any other I have ever visited. It's such a lovely place to visit, with beautiful landscape and lovely wild daffodils in the spring time. The cemetery is very well kept, always easy to access and usually quiet and peaceful. As a photographer, I have often taken photos at Laurel Hill because of how beautiful it is. There is even a little stone church perfect for small wedding ceremonies. Laurel Hill Cemetery truly is the hidden gem of Saco, Maine.

Last Monday(July 18, 2016) a worker at the cemetery tried to stop  me from biking there. I pointed out that I've seen people drive through in trucks and motorcycles. Why not bikes ? We on bikes are certainly quieter. He claimed that kids bike on the grass. I said "why not have a sign that says there is no biking on the grass?" He had no answer. 

I won't be buried any place where my kids and grand kids can't bike to my grave. I'm 76 years old.

Laurel Hill is one of the best kept cemeterys in the area, and in the spring when all the daffodils bloom it is a local attraction
