Story

Established in 2003, Lavender Hill Farm is just minutes from Petoskey and Charlevoix. We are the largest commercial lavender farm in Michigan. Visitors can enjoy a tour of the fields, join us for Fridays on the Farm or Lunch in Lavender, or cut a u-pick bouquet. Our gift shop has an array of lavender products including essential oil, culinary lavender, and ice cream, The farm welcomes visitors May-October and hosts a variety of private and public events.

This farm is lovely. Several acres of lavender are growing. It's a beautiful sight, and when it's quiet you can hear the buzzing of thousands of honey bees tending the lavender. We saw a wedding going on here, it looked really nice! It's open to the public and a really unique sight.

My friends and I went out of the way to stop here on our way home from a camping trip, and were disappointed to see that the shop was closing as we were getting out of our car to walk inside. We were hoping to spend some money and thought that the owners would've offered to stay open just a couple minutes for us to look inside and buy a few things to take home. Instead they just turned us away, but they said we could look around still if we wanted. However, by mid August almost all of the lavender has been harvested already so there wasn't much to see. We wasted gas and over an hour of our time... if you want to visit make sure it is closer to mid-July, and also make sure you get there well before 5pm.

Lavender Hill Farm is such a wonderful place to visit if you're in Northern Michigan. There are so many things to do, the gift shop is full of wonderful products, and the workers/owners are super helpful!

I wish we could've seen this in bloom season! It was still beautiful and the barn they have for weddings is SO gorgeous! I wish we had something like that back home. The family is very nice and friendly! And Will, the 12 year old tour guide was great!!

The entire place is beautiful and everyone that worked there was very friendly and helpful. Next time I'm in the area I definitely plan on going again.
