Ms. Shearer is a California native who earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1998. She practiced in several different areas of law before discovering that her true passion was to guide families through the challenges of separation, divorce and other conflicts. She joined one of Sacramento's largest and most respected family law firms, Bartholomew & Wasznicky LLP, and gained invaluable experience before deciding to open her own practice.

Our mission is twofold: to educate and to guide. We strive to educate the community regarding the alternative options available to avoid having their personal family matters displayed in court and decided by a process wholly out of their control. In addition, we guide our clients by working together with parents and couples to efficiently achieve enforceable, creative and balanced agreements and minimize the negative aftereffects of a separation, divorce and custody disagreement.
