The Law Office of John Freeman, PLLC is "all crime, all the time." We handle criminal cases and administrative matters related to criminal cases. We are not a general practice firm. We do not attempt to juggle multiple areas of the law. We use our extensive experience in criminal law to defend the rights and freedom of our clients. Our clients are individuals and corporate entities that are under investigation and/or formally charged with all types of federal and state crimes. We appear in federal court, state court, and before a variety of administrative agencies, including County Gun Boards (CPL/CCW permits), the Secretary of State (driver's license appeals), the Department of Corrections (parole), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (FFL regulation). We have access to top investigators and experts who help us build effective defenses. Attorney John Freeman has over 22 years of experience. He has been honored by both the American Society of Legal Advocates and the National Trial Lawyers as a top 100 criminal defense attorney in Michigan. Mr. Freeman is a former federal and state prosecutor. In those roles, he handled a large number of high-profile cases, including cases involving murder, terrorism, high-level drug trafficking, robbery, white-collar charges and other federal and state crimes. He now uses that experience to defend clients accused of all types of felony and misdemeanor charges in federal and state court. In addition to representing clients, Mr. Freeman regularly lectures, and has been a continuing legal education presenter for the State Bar of Michigan, and the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, on self-defense and firearms law. He is also a member of the Criminal Law Advisory Board for the State Bar of Michigan’s Institute of Continuing Legal Education
