My original Trust was done in 2004, and I assumed that would be good for many years, like most people.  Then, I was told Trusts and Estate Plans should be reviewed every 5 years or so, as lives and situations are constantly in flux.  So, after 12 years and life and financial changes I found Matthew Harris, ESQ, explained the numerous reason for a planning review.  He is super low pressure, nice guy who genuinely wants to help.  Matthew "cleaned up" my outdated Trust, prepared a new one.  Now, I can go about my life with a piece of mind.  Definitely, contact him if your Trust is more than 5 years old or if you need one prepared.  Matthew will help you protect your assets and distributions to loved ones with a minimal amount to taxes and unnecessary expenses.

With three young children, my wife and I knew we needed a plan in case anything ever happened to us. We didn't even know where to begin. Our CPA highly recommended Matthew Harris, an estate planning attorney here in Marin. From the beginning, Matt was kind, patient, and extremely reliable. He went out of his way to make things easier for us when it came to meetings because he understands what it's like to have little kids running all over the place. Matt addressed hypothetical situations we had never even considered and was always available to advise us when we got stuck. Matt responded promptly to emails and phone calls and didn't lose faith in us when we had to take a break for a few months from the estate planning process due to our hectic work schedules (when we resurfaced he picked up right where we left off as if it was yesterday). Matt made the whole process very easy and we would recommend him to anyone for their estate planning needs!

As a father with two young children, I knew that I needed an estate plan in case something bad ever happened to me.   My close-friend recommended Matthew W. Harris, an estate planning lawyer in San Rafael.   I was hesitant to meet with a lawyer because I thought the whole estate planning process would be too complicated and too darn expensive.  Boy was I wrong!  Mr. Harris was kind, gentle and was able to convey complex legal jargon to me with ease and clarity. 
Mr. Harris created my estate plan that addressed all of my wishes and concerns.  God forbid if anything should happen to me, I can rest more comfortably knowing that my children will be taken care of.

Matthew W. Harris is a thorough and concise estate plan attorney who helped my husband and I plan the future for our family - should uncertain events arise. He helped me understand the process and took time to explain the options in our plan. He is very knowledgeable and can handle even the most intricate estate plans. I highly suggest him!
