I have been blessed in my career to have some interesting cases. I once represented a school board when a teacher put a kid in a box. It was for time out and with good intentions, but it just didn’t sound good in the newspaper. I got to travel to Singapore twice in six weeks while representing an oil service company. I represented a motel when they were sued after a truck driver staying there was shot in the parking lot.
Of course most of my practice is not so unique, but it’s all been rewarding. I try not to separate my faith from my work. I often have been asked how is it possible to be a Christian and a lawyer. Those roles are not contradictory. Both are called to serve. Aren’t we all?
