My simple uncontested divorce was supppsed to be completed by the end of April. It is now July.  I have been given the run around on why they haven't completed my divorce, which hasn't had anything to do with me or my ex. Now they are not returning my phone calls or emails. I do not recommend this law practice if you think communication is important.

I have witnessed first hand the complete unprofessionalism, lack of communication, action and dishonesty of this attorney. Full payment for services was received but no court action taken on a simple uncontested divorce. In my eyes it's simple obtaining property by false pretense. In addition, the client was misled to believe that the divorce process was complete with the courts and documents were waiting to be picked up at the clerks office for an official divorce only to find out that a new court date two months later was needed to complete the divorce. However, on that court date the divorce wasnt approved by the judge because this attorney filed for the divorce one day prior to the legal set time. Therefore, the process has to start all over again which will take months and the only response given is "it's a small mistake and you have no right to stressout over it and make it a big deal." Not to mention NONE of this process or information was relayed to by the attorney. We had to call the clerks office ourselves to get information & the other half of information was relayed by the other party involved in the divorce. When the client contacted this attorneys office for information, file status, or simple communication the client is responded with a discourteous, brash, unmannerly email from the attorney's assistant Sebastian. The lack of direct client relationship, communication & follow up is well below par and not at all comparable to what is advertised. I am sincerely encouraging the client of this attorney to file a grievance with the NC Bar Association and to persue a refund for services that were not acted upon in a honest, timely, or professional manner. Please if seeking an attorney in the Greensboro area, keep looking. 6 months and counting for a simple uncontested divorce with no kids is a bit ridiculous..

Rebecca Perry is hands down the best family attorney I know. I worked 11 years as a consultant to law firms, throughout NC and SC. Hire her before your spouse does!
