I signed up with attorney based on her assistant, Cheryl.  Cheryl is a kind woman.  I was extremely disappointed.  My details don't matter to you -but I would not recommend hiring this attorney.  I fully believe all the one star reviews and wished I had given them merit  and never picked up the phone to call her home office. I had an extremely easy default divorce case and I had to force a court date.  I got to proof my papers the evening before court.  Several mistakes.  Attorney had no interest in fighting for me nor was I given important details at the time of initial filing.  I greatly overpaid with the flat fee - do not think you are getting a deal with the flat fee.  I went to a second attorney and should have substituted attorneys on my case.

This woman stole $1,000.00 from me!!  I went to her for a free consultation,  and wrote her a check as a deposit (as I was planning to use her for my divorce case).  In the document that we both signed, it stated that if I decided not to use her services, that I would get a refund.  Shortly afterwards, I moved to Boston, MA for work and ended up not needing her services afterall.  I attempted to contact her numerous times, and she dodged my calls.  I never received any services, and never received my money back.  She's a THIEF, and that was INCREDIBLY DISHONEST of her.  Seriously..eff this lady.

DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY! You will be extremely disappointed! When you first meet with her she will tell you that she's so much better than any other attorney in Tucson and she'll do so much more for you. She will justify why her prices are way higher than any other attorney. I paid her over $5500.00, and I got absolutely nothing in return but email correspondence back-and-forth with her. (yes, she charged me for each and every single email) she was so horrible that I actually went and found another attorney that completely saved my whole entire divorce. She's completely condescending when she talks to you AND extremely rude. the amount of work she does is completely disheartening. Her legal assistant will do most of the work and tries her very best but obviously she's not the attorney. I tried my hardest to get my hard earned money back and I was very unsuccessful, so I thought if I could save somebody thousands of dollars especially in a time of emotional distress it would be worth it for me. She makes you play a flat see upfront which absolutely will not cover anything and make it impossible for you to move forward or get any payment back. Then will keep asking you for more... She claims that she works with military and I was military and she did absolutely nothing for me except for lose every single battle. We went to court and she didn't even know what was going on she completely confused everybody and it was horribly embarrassing. She also does not have a professional appearance. she wears way too much make up and looks like a complete clown. she wears hair extensions that can be shown and tries her best with plastic surgery to cover it all up. It was a complete disgrace to my family. Please hire an attorney that cares about your case,your well-being and of course your future. Going to a divorce is extremely difficult so you need someone that will actually benefit you and help you. There are several awesome attorneys in Tucson my recommendation would be Reagen Kulseth, or Anne Elsberry. People have completely had their life destroyed because of this lady. Ask other attorneys about her as well...horrible lady!

I went to Ms.Schauf during one of the most stressful times of my life, I was looking for a lawyer to help me get divorced from my husband (now ex husband ^_^) and I had a hard time finding someone I felt I could trust who wouldn't charge me an outrageous retainer! When I finally came across Ms.Scahuf it was like the clouds parted and a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders! Both she and Cheryl were absolutely amazing to work with. Always ready to take my calls and answer any questions I had! I was well informed throughout the whole process! Honestly I don't know how they do it, I would highly, HIGHLY reccommend them if you are looking for an amazing lawyer who is going to truly represent you and listen to your needs! I am truly overjoyed with everything Susan and Cheryl did for me!!😊
