I hired Thomas to represent my case and highly recommend him to anyone with family court cases that feels they are being unreasonably taken advantage of by the "other party".  To describe him in four words: honest, passionate, aggressive and very-reasonable-fees.

I called around attorneys in the Chicago area, most of them were unreasonably expensive with no reason to back up the high cost, others seemed to have no drive to pursue my case to my standard nor did they sound like they cared (I needed someone who was aggressive and understood my point of view).  I was even told by some lawyers that there was nothing they could do and that I was S.O.L.  Thomas took the time to initially listen to my very complex case over the phone and he was able to take the overwhelming information I gave him and he dissected everything that was irrelevant and told me what he could help me with, all in one hour of talking.  After speaking to him over the phone, he was able to make me realize that my case was not as complex as I initially thought and he gave me his plan of action to tackle my case.  From there he gave me a very reasonable retainer fee, which gets deposited in an escrow account for my and his protection.  He deducts the monthly charges from the escrow account as needed (and sent me a bill of course) for his time spent on the case, so at the end of the case you get a refund if the total cost was less than the retainer (as in my case), or if you use more than the retainer, he will send you a bill for the remaining balance.  Thomas was never careless when handling my case, always responded to my calls/emails in a timely manner, and always kept me up to date on my case.  He went above and beyond to make sure I was protected from the "other party" and he was able to save me thousands of dollars by defending me from ridiculous claims that the "other party" was making in my family case.  At times my case took some surprising turns, and Thomas always had a counter plan for whatever popped up, which was above and beyond my expectations.  Lastly, Thomas was able to point me in the right direction whenever I had questions outside of his jurisdiction/practice by pointing me to the relevant laws to answer questions I had.  This allowed me to research on my own without paying an attorney that specialized in that area just to answer a question I had.  Not only did this save me hundreds, but I was able to learn of some of the public resources out there to look up family court laws on my own.
