Update: I went in and talked to management as requested. They hooked me up with a make-up gyro. I very much appreciate the attention and care for the customer. Everyone has a bad night once in a while. Want to say thank you Layalina management for making this right. I've added pics of the replacement gyros. Wow Layalina, I think you forgot to put meat on the gyro. This is actually a lettuce wrap garnished with a touch of gyro meat. I've eaten here before and this wasn't an issue so I'm not sure what happened. Sooo seriously disappointing. I'm struggling to even consider this a meal.
They took our drink order twice. The food came out before the drinks. We had to order fries and water several times before they came out. We never got plates. Seems very disorganized. The food and the sage tea was okay. With all the options downtown, not sure I'd come back here.Food: 3/5

My son LOVES this place. We are not huge fans of Mediterranean food but this place is good. Lots of options and staff is friendly, atmosphere is nice. Not fast but we had a large party so maybe with a smaller group? Lamb kabobs are so good! We also got a cool sampler appetizer to try and that was good.Food: 5/5
I recently dined at a delightful restaurant and I would like to share my positive experience in this review. The service was exceptional throughout my meal. The staff members were attentive and knowledgeable, offering recommendations when needed and ensuring that all my needs were met. They were friendly, professional, and created a welcoming environment that greatly enhanced my overall dining experience. Not only was the food outstanding, but the prices were also reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. I felt that I received great value for my money, making it a restaurant that I would happily visit again in the future.
Food was very delicious. Great customer service. The food was very tastey, thespare ribs was great. The hammus was to die for. The owners daughter came to say hi and was very friendly to my 3 kids. She even told us the story behind the outfit showcased her wedding gown hand made by her mum in the store and said her mum would make one for my daughter. Very clean place. We went there for lunch as a first-time visit. The atmosphere is relaxed. The service is good. The recipes are of Turkish cuisine, so it might differ in taste from other Mediterranean restaurants. The Kibba appetizers are good, especially with the yogurt-based sauce. The Fatoush salad is good, but the dressing was overpowering for my taste. The Shawarma plate is excellent with the rice and Taboulleh salad. The chicken Shawarma was a little lacking in spices. There are plenty of portions with their entrées. Be prepared to take some home. We will be back soon to try other dishes.
Very underrated place. Not many people know that’s what I feel. Yes food is little bit expensive here but the chicken shawarma platter with rice and hummus is very tasty, fresh and hot every time we order it . I don't think I know how greek/Mediterranean food is supposed to taste. But what I can say is Layalina's had by far the best tasting Mediterranean food I've tried. This time we had a pickup order. The lamb kebab and mixed shawarma were both very good as usual. Their baba ghanoush is always my favorite side for any entrée tasting fresh and delish. Their portion is surprisingly generous everytime. If u r in the area, don't hesitate to give this restaurant a try!
I went to this place for the first time base on a random search for Mediterranean food. If you are around Denton and like Mediterranean food and lounge, this is a good place. The server was excellent, efficient, and polite. I went there for my lunch was not busy, and no wait time. I ordered their chicken shawarma platter with baba ganoush and french fries, a plate of falafel with a side of hummus and pita bread, and a pot of tea. I liked the Hummus and the falafel plate. It was delicious and crispy. The chicken was a bit salty. The ambiance was good. I would go back to this place to try their hookah.
