On Tuesday, March 3rd, LCS Coaches delivered 178 eighth graders and six chaperones SAFELY to St. Paul's Park Square Theatre. First of all, CMS pays for school buses; but out of the kindest that LCS Coaches extends to us regularly, the company gave us coach buses instead. We all know that the difference between school buses and coaches buses is enormous. Especially given that the buses are loaded down with eighth graders, all of whom, on the way back from the cities, has spent the entire day seated! Second of all, the weather was absolutely BEASTLY that day. The snow piled up fast and furious, and the traffic was iffy, to say the least. We observed a multitude of ditched vehicles and near spin-outs and MANY near-whiteouts from semi's. Yet our drivers maintained. Not only did they maintain, but they did so with professionalism, staying cool, calm, and collected the whole way, no matter what the situation. (My own driver, the lead driver, kept reassuring us that it was "not bad." He was so gracious and kind when a good share of other drivers on the road must have been shaken and stressed.) Because the weather was atrocious, I fully expected to be late. But we made it. Just in time. Regardless, we made it. As always, year after year, LCS Coaches (and the excellent drivers) get us to where we need to be, safely and courteously. This company is such an asset to our community and surrounding communities. I am so thankful for LCS Coaches and the drivers. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!!!

I encountered your bus #263 about 7:30PM on Hwy 35 north bound around Pine City on Sept. 6th. After tailgating me for a short distance he passed me and soon was out of sight. My cruse control was set at 73 so the driver must have been in the 80mph range. It was my understanding that commercial carriers were to maintain the speed limit. Glad I was not a passenger in the event of an accident.

Driving south on I-35 through tunnels in Duluth. I was driving beside a LCS Coach from Cloquet, MN. The coach was going about 30MPH, construction zone. I was driving about 35MPH. The right lane was closing so I turned on the left blinker and waiting till I was about 30 feet in front of the coach. I changed lanes, the 'bus' driver honked the bus horn, my two children looked back (children are 10 and 12yrs old); I looked in the rearview mirror. The driver of the coach showed my children his middle finger. I called LCS Coaches and spoke with Jack Lain; he said he is one of the owners. I explained what had happened and asked Jack if he though that was acceptable behavior. His reply; "I don't know I was not there." I waited a bit to see if he would say anything else, he said nothing. I then asked why he said that, I really could not believe it. I asked him a few more questions just to see if he was that much of an idiot. I then asked him why he does not care how his drivers act. He told me he never said he didn't care. He never even asked the bus number, nothing. I asked why this is not a concern, he replied: "It is but I'm not the one getting upset." I then said: "You don't think I should be upset." I knew this person really did not care about the driver’s attitude as long as he gets his paycheck. I said goodbye. I then wrote an email to LSC Coaches. The reply I received from the 'Safety Officer': My complaint, just a story. I was only trying to do what was right.
