Le Pain Quotidien
"We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu."

Went there on a weekday early morning. Great rustic European atmosphere, beautiful indoors, good food, prompt service and convenient location to mid town and Times Square near Bryant park. Prices are reasonable for NYC and I thoroughly enjoyed this breakfast. Enjoyed a nice extra hot latte arrived as ordered and the sunny side breakfast bowl with veggies. Keep it up! Vegetarian options: Good set of choices for vegetarians
It's a laid back place with a European feel to it. They had clearly marked vegan options. The avocado toast was excellent. The other food was good but not wonderful. Service was very goodFood: 4/5
Good place for lunch just across the street from Bryant Park. I had a baguette with tomato and mozzarella which had lettuce and too much olive oil. But a pretty good sandwich. Prices are reasonable. Lots of inside tables mostly for service with a few self serve tables. Outside seating and, of course, Bryant Park.
I came here around 9am for breakfast as it was near my hotel and made it convenient. The atmosphere was very rustic, woody, European style and looked great. Our server was very nice, but the service was slow. We got seated and waited 15 minutes to order our drinks. The food was okay, the bacon was hard and it was over cooked. Not the worst cafe but I would definitely try a different breakfast place the next time I come to NYC.
The food was unique , made with authentic ingredients but the service was not great. I would probably order take out the next time I am at this place. Love the food, hate the serviceFood: 5/5
It’s a shame how food quality has become over the years. This is an amazing location with ample space and great lighting, but the food is really bad and expensive. The latte we got had no art at all. Looks like ??? Other tables got a similar pattern. Would you put some effort? The breakfast sandwich was so dry and we added $3 for one slice of tiny bacon, which you could barely see. I will not come back to this place. Show some respect to the food/drinks you serve. This place used to be good :
While passing by Le Pain Quotidien, I was drawn to their bakery display, despite not being a big fan of bakery items. I decided to try a chia seed muffin, even though I don't usually eat muffins, and to my surprise, it was absolutely delicious. Additionally, I indulged in a quinoa scone, which also turned out to be quite good. Overall, my spontaneous bakery visit at Le Pain Quotidien was a pleasant surprise, and I enjoyed the unique treats I tried.
Very good breakfast and dessert. Great atmosphere and good service. Most recommended.Food: 5/5
I gave them a 4 star because they are dog friendly, have good interior design and location. We waited 30-45 min at the table for to order and get a darn coffee ?! Anyways, I ordered the egg & avocado breakfast sandwich with bacon; the sandwich was good, the bread was amazing! But I ate better breakfast sandwiches at delis, they can’t compete with them honestly speaking. Also what’s up with serving coffee on soup bowls?? I mean I had to hold my americano cup with two hands and ready to ask for a spoon to drink the coffee I understand y’all are different but no need to confuse the mornings, just an opinion.
Host that leads us in was not in a good mood and looks very tired. We felt so bad that he needs to work today. I am sorry man. Waiter sent our order to the wrong table. We were chasing our oatmeal, and here we go after we patiently waited for 30+mins and cautiously asked where the matcha latte is we got the matcha powder mixed in hot water… terrified to drink the powder even one sip. Oops while we were writing the review, staff Shah was the only one care about the customers and try his best to make it up and personally make a new one for us. He has good attitude even when he is so busy with everything! I hope the owner will consider promoting him lol. I think this place is very understaffed and overrated. I would like to come back for the food, but not for the “great” service they provide.
