Living in Wisconsin's northern woods I don't get my fill of BBQ enough as it is, so when I head south I make sure I load up. When I last visited my sister and brother-in-law in Murfreesboro I went on a BBQ bender that should have landed me in the county pokey and I can say, without hesitation, that Smokin' Ed's was the BEST I had in Murfreesboro. The nearest rival was Jack's, but that was in Nashvegas. Smokin' Ed's was great pork, great turkey legs (smoked) and amazing corn bread (yup, it was smoked too). We even got to meet Ed himself, who was genial as can be. Not only fantastic food, but southern hospitality at it's finest. I will never go through Tennessee without stopping at Smokin' Ed's.
